Glimmering Tide is part of a series inspired by the beach at low tide.
This time I explored the way sand is
sculpted by the sea, and the play of
light on the water, gathered in pools.
The piece is in 3D, with the sand in relief. I applied
transparent smalti and sea glass over mirror, to enhance their reflectivity and
represent water. The mirror shows through the joints, like glimmers of light.
Nice post! This form of art is completely different from what I'm used to, but I love it! It's very pure in its form and besides that, very appealing!

It's special, like a painting, or fittings art.
