Kilmantin Art Gallery is holding it's winter exhibition entitled 'Wicklow Portfolio' from the 17th November through to the end of December so do drop in if you are passing. Here are my three photographic entries, all taken around the Wicklow area.
Powerscourt Rose Garden Gates by Ellen McDermott
Wicklow Lighthouse (through the viewfinder) by Ellen McDermott
Hopkins Hill by Ellen McDermott
It's my first time to enter my photography rather than my oil paintings into an art exhibition and I'm off to Arklow in the morning to have them framed in this wonderful little camera/printing/framing shop I discovered last week. I cant remember the name of the shop and they have no website or I would link to them here. Anyhow, I'm hoping these photos are successful and sell and on that note I'm reminded of an old saying I heard once;
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

the shop is John P. Hopkins and Sons Ltd Main Street Wicklow Town Co. Wicklow, also known as Hopkins Toymaster, hence the name of the hill.
The website is www.hopkinstoymaster.com
You can also find them on google maps and on facebook.
